It follows the historic and emotional apology delivered by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny in the Dail last night.
The compensation scheme was announced by An Taoiseach last night as part of the State apology to the Magdalene women.
Mr Justice John Quirke has been appointed by the Government to come up with a compensation scheme.
And Justice Minister Alan Shatter has invited the Magdalene women to contact his department with expressions of interest in the fund set up to help them.
The coalition has set a three month timeframe for a report from Mr Justice Quirke on how to proceed - the Magdalene women who welcomed the Taoiseach's apology last night expect progress in a much shorter timeframe.
