Sunbed operators have until September 2nd to register with the Department of Health for an annual fee of €120.
It's part of new legislation aimed at cracking down on businesses offering sunbed services to anyone aged under 18, which has been illegal since last summer.
However, under the new rules, operators who break the law could be fined up to €4,000 or sentenced to six months in prison, or both.
