Gerry Adam spoke to Moncrieff this afternoon in the D Hotel in Co. Louth, he revealed a little bit more about the man behind the politics - discussing his hobbies and Twitter persona.
I've had a busy beautiful morning. Trampolining from dawn. Peeling spuds. Listening 2 Joan Baez. Chopping turnip&carrots. Off 2 Mullingar.

After reading out a series of odd tweets, ending with the above - the conversation quickly turned to his passion for trampolining:
"Yeah, I do it naked," said the Sinn Fein leader.
He continues: "I don't do it with any great expertise, just the joy of it - the dog does it with me." He says that it's easier to take him for a "bounce" than a walk.
After revealing that the dog can do flips on the trampoline - Moncrieff asked Mr Adams if he can do any tricks - he replied: "I don't want to discuss it publicly - but yes."
When it was put to him that he is a bit of a 'hippie' at heart - he said that the label had been attached to him in the media, but he wants to clarify that he is not a hippie.
The Louth TD added: "One of the things I've learned, and I really believe in this - is that you've got to enjoy whatever is happening around you, and whatever is happening to you. And not take yourself too seriously."
On a more serious note - the interview covered austerity, possible coalitions combinations after the next general election and the differences between working in politics in Northern Ireland and the Republic - you can listen to it all here.
