George Gibney has been found guilty of the attempted rape of a girl in the 1970s.
The former swimming coach was also convicted of abusing three other girls on various dates in the 1970s and 1980s.
Gibney had pleaded guilty to five charges at the beginning of his trial.
The judge directed the jury to return not guilty verdicts on 33 counts relating to two complaints.
On one count, the jury acquitted him, while concluding he was guilty on the remaining charges.
Gibney was put on trial in June; however, he can only be named now, following his convictions.
He was remanded in custody today ahead of his sentence hearing later this month.
