Sales of grey hair dye have soared, as youngsters apparently want to become silver foxes - like George Clooney.

Amazon has reported an 80% jump in online sales of grey dye, with one brand up 200%.

It appears that grey hair is no longer something to hide and has become a surprising top look this year, as people try to copy the salt-and -pepper look.

The look is becoming more popular as it is sported by the likes of Jon Bon Jovi and Robbie Williams.

"No longer something to hide, grey hair has emerged as the latest beauty trend," said Amazon's vice president of retail, Xavier Garambois.

"Perhaps one of the most surprising style successes of the year so far, grey hair has been seen everywhere from catwalks to high streets up and down the country."
