Gay weddings have resumed in California after the state's appeals court lifted a ban on same-sex marriage.

The news comes as thousands of people march through Dublin city centre for the 30th anniversary of the annual Dublin Gay Prode parade.

Restrictions were put in place on gay marriage in 2008 in California - but were overturned by the US Supreme Court earlier this week.
