Gary Glitter has appeared in court to face 10 charges of sexual offences against three girls.

Mr Glitter (70), from Marylebone in central London, denied the charges at Southwark Crown Court.

They relate to alleged crimes committed in the 1970s and early 1980s.

The former rock star, whose real name is Paul Gadd, listened to proceedings at the court using a hearing device.

He had earlier arrived at the south London court sporting his trademark goatee, wearing a fedora hat, navy blue suit and a silk pink tie.

He is currently on bail.
