Aiken Promotions has confirmed there are no plans for Garth Brooks to perform in Ireland next year.
The concert promoters confirmed the news in a one line statement to media this afternoon.
There had been speculation earlier that Brooks was poised to announce two Irish concerts following the debacle this summer over his failed bid to stage five concerts in Croke Park in Dublin.
The Irish Daily Star reported it was part of the country singer's plan to beat U2's record for the biggest ever tour.
It was suggested he could have played a Dublin date and another Irish venue next July, at the tail-end of his current stadium tour.
The singer backed out of playing three nights at Croke Park this summer, after Dublin City Council blocked his bid to perform over five nights.
