Gardai are appealing for information about the movements of a car used by two missing Dublin men.

The silver grey Ford Focus was discovered in a car park at Lough Owel off the N4 outside Mullingar in Co Westmeath - at 3.40 this morning.

Eoin O'Connor and Anthony Keegan from Coolock in Dublin - haven't been seen since travelling to Ballyjamesduff in Cavan on Tuesday evening.

The car has been taken away for a forensic examination - while searches were carried out in both locations this afternoon.

Gardai say they are extremely concerned for the welfare of the two men.
