Gardaí are trying to establish if property developer, Kevin Michael McGeever, was kidnapped and held north of the border

McGeever was reported missing in Gort in Co Galway last June.

When found on Tuesday, the 68 year old was dishevelled, had lost a lot of weight and had an insult carved into his forehead.

He has told Gardaí he was abducted eight months ago.
