Motorists in Ennis are advised the R352 at Bodyke will remain closed tonight following a serious two vehicle collision on the Scarriff to Ennis Road earlier this evening.

The incident happened around 3 km from Bodyke Village at around 5.20 p.m. A male passenger -in his early 20's- has been removed to University Hospital Limerick and is said to be in a critical condition.

The two drivers were also removed to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

The road will remain closed throughout the night to allow Gardai examine the scene. Local diversions are in place.
