Gardaí appeal for witnesses following Dublin Airport stabbing

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an alleged stabbing outside Dublin Airport on Sunday.

A man aged in his 50s was taken from the scene to Beaumont Hospital to be treated for injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening.

It is believed he was stabbed several times.

It happened outside Terminal 1 around 11.30am yesterday.

A second man in his 50s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at a Garda station in north Dublin.

Airport Police responded to the incident and detained a person who was then handed over to Gardaí.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

Any pedestrians or road users who were in the vicinity of Terminal 1 between 11am and 11.45am on Sunday September 17th, and who may have camera footage, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
