Three guns, ammunition, tablets and a powder like-substance have been seized in north Dublin.

It followed a number of searches in the Finglas area this morning.

They came as a result of an intelligence-led operation by members of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

Two men, aged 18 and 44, were also arrested in the operation.

They are being held at Finglas and Ballymun garda stations, under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí say the investigations are ongoing.
