Two teenagers have appeared in court following a reported crime spree in west Dublin last night.
Four people were hospitalised as a result of the incidents.
Between 9.30 and 10pm last night, there were two attempts to hijack cars, a mugging and an assault in the Castle Riada Drive area of Lucan.
Four people - one woman and three men - required hospital treatment as a result. However none of their injuries were life threatening.
Gardaí, responding to calls from the public, searched the area and two young men were arrested on Castle Road in Lucan.
A garda recieved a head injury during the course of the arrest and required hospital treatment. He has since been released from hospital.
The two young men were brought before a judge at the Central Criminal Court this evening charged in connection with the incidents.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in this area between 9.30pm – 10.20pm last night to contact them at Lucan Garda station.
