Gardaí are investigating two shootings in Dublin overnight, in which a man was injured.

At around 11.10pm shots were fired at a house on Lissadell Road in Drimagh.

Three people were in the house at the time but no-one was injured.

A few minutes later, at 11.15pm, a house on Walkinstown Drive was fired upon.

Five people were in that house and one man, in his late 30s, was injured. He has been taken to St James' Hospital with minor injuries.

The scene of the second shooting has been sealed off for a technical examination.

No arrests have been made in relation to either incident.
