Gardaí in Drogheda are investigating a suspected arson attack on a house in the Monasterboice area early this morning.
The incident happened at a dormer bungalow on the Old Coach Road.
The fire began in the kitchen area when an object was thrown through a window at around 2am.
One of the occupants raised the alarm and got the remaining three people out of the building.
Two units of the fire service spent over two hours at the scene, battling the blaze.
Nobody was injured in the fire, but it is understood a room in the house has been damaged.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
