In a series of photographs called ‘Too Much Love’, German photographer Katja Kemnitz reveals what old and worn-with-love teddy bears look like compared to when they were first purchased.

Inspired by her oldest daughter, who carried a plush dog toy around with her everywhere she went when she was a little girl. One day, Kemnitz happened upon a brand new version of the dog in a toy shop, in mint condition. She bought it as a replacement, but discovered quickly that her daughter did not take to it at all; her old teddy bear was simply irreplaceable.
