The funeral service of a couple suspected of being involved in a murder suicide has taken place in Co Louth.

On Monday, the body of 68-year old Marie Quigley was discovered at the couple's home, not long after her 69-year-old husband Jim died in a collision on the M1.

He had been driving in the wrong direction when the collision take place. Three other people were injured in the crash.

A murder investigation into Mrs Quigley's death is still ongoing, as is a separate inquiry into the fatal collision.

Marie and Jim Quigley are being laid to rest in St Patrick's Cemetery this afternoon, after the funeral service at St Joseph's Redemptorist Church.

The couple's son-in-law Jeff paid this tribute to the family;
