Funerals for the victims of the Carrickmines fire tragedy are to take place next week.

Details of funerals in Counties Wicklow and Wexford were announced this morning.

The funeral for Willie Lynch and Tara Gilbert and their children Jodie and Kelsey, as well as Willie's brother Jimmy will take place on Tuesday.

Requiem mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer in Bray at midday.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalised for Thomas and Sylvia Connors and their children Jim, Christy and baby Mary. The family is due to be laid to rest later in the week in Co. Wexford.

Meanwhile in Dublin a vigil for the victims has been taking place today.

The organiser of this afternoon's gathering is well known artist Paula Lambert:

The vigil comes as Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council says progress is being made on reaching an agreement for a temporary halting site to house the 15 survivors.

Locals have blockaded Rockville Drive since Tuesday over plans to move four mobile homes onto adjoining land to house 14 people affected by Saturday’s blaze.
