Dry in many areas this morning with sunny spells. Rain in south Leinster and in the east and south of Munster. Showers in the northwest also. Showers will become widespread this afternoon. Some will be heavy, especially in the eastern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with light to moderate northerly breezes.

Tonight, showers will die out and it will become dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of six to nine degrees.
