Today will be sunny and dry for the bulk of the country.

It'll stay cloudy through Munster and along the east coasts at times with rain and drizzle.

Temperatures will range between 4C and 7C, coldest in the north and in higher areas of Munster.

Winds will be light mainly from an easterly direction.

TONIGHT

Tonight will be cold and clear with temperatures near or just below freezing. It could get as cold as -3C across Ulster.

Skies will be largely clear across the northern half of the country with cloudier conditions in the south keeping temperatures from falling below 4C or 5C.

It'll be breezier in Munster with a fresh easterly wind. Winds will be mainly moderate elsewhere.

Fog will form and will thicken towards dawn.
