Four men are due in court today in connection with the ramming of two garda cars during a pursuit in Cork City at the weekend.

The men, who are all in their late 20s and early 30s, were arrested off the Commons Road on Saturday night, after two patrol cars were rammed in the Gurranebraher area.

The men - who are from Cork and Dublin - will appear at a special sitting of Cork District Court.

Nobody was injured in the incident, although both garda cars suffered extensive damage.
