Four people have been arrested by Gardaí investigating a serious sexual assault in Co Wexford.

The incident was reported to have happened on July 28th at 12:15am in the Burrow area of Courtown Harbour.

On Thursday, one man and three teenagers were arrested on suspicion of rape.

All four are being detained in Garda stations in the south east under section 4 Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who may have been in the Burrow area, Courtown Harbour between 10.00pm on Saturday Sunday July 28th who have not already been in contact to come forward.

Gardaí say the investigation is ongoing.
