The Former chairman of Anglo Irish Bank Sean FitzPatrick has been arrested by Gardai as part of their probe into alleged financial irregularities at the institution.
He was detained by Gardai attached to the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE).
He was was arrested this morning after arriving on a flight into Dublin Airport.

He is due to be charged at the district court later.
It is the the 3rd arrest in 2 days.
Yesterday 2 former directors of the bank were charged with facilitating unlawful loans to buy Anglo shares.
