#FormalFriday has raised over €170,000 for Ireland’s frontline heroes and we’re not done yet.
People all across the country got involved in last Friday’s event, donning their Sunday best and donating to a truly worth cause.

Lunchtime Live Presenter Ciara Kelly said: “All of us at Newstalk are delighted to have been involved in #FormalFriday and humbled to see the incredible support from across the country for our frontline heroes.
“The support of our listeners at this time has been fundamental to the success of the initiative and we can’t thank you enough.”
From pulling out the wedding dress to sweep the floor to whipping on the tux for the gardening, you really answered the call.

The charities that will benefit from #FormalFriday include;

- University Hospital Limerick
- St James's Hospital Foundation
- Cork University Hospital Charity
- Feed The Heroes
All funds raised will be split evenly among the chosen charities, and we will continue to raise more funds.
Up to now, over €164,000 has been donated on the #FormalFriday GoFundMe page - with an additional offline donation of €6,000 taking the total to over €170,000.
