After a busy weekend of news and sport, here's what you need to know this Monday morning.

Bombing of Medicins Sans Frontier facility

The bombing of a Medicins Sans Frontier hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, and the way the area was left after the attack which took place early on Saturday morning was a hotly debated topic over the weekend.

The death toll from the attack rose to 22 after three further patients were confirmed dead, in what was a suspected US air raid.

Ibrahim Halawa's trial postponed again

Ibrahim Halawa's trial was once again postponed for the ninth time on Sunday. The 19-year-old has been held in an Egyptian prison for 779 days, since he was arrested at a protest in a Cairo mosque in August 2013.

The next trial date has been set for 15th December according to MEP Lynn Boylan, who has previously visited Mr Halawa in jail.

Liverpool part company with Brendan Rodgers

After a draw with Everton in the Merseyside Derby, but hot on the heels of a number of weeks in which there had been a huge amount of speculation about the Northern Irishman's position, Liverpool's owners stated that they had parted company with their manager Brendan Rodgers.

In an official statement on the Liverpool website, the club said that he would leave with immediate effect and that the process to appoint his successor is already underway.

USC rates

Speculation was rife on Sunday that the government had plans for the Universal Social Charge in the coming budget. Cuts of 1% to 1.5% in each of the five USC bands are predicted after the Sunday Business Post got information from Government sources close to budgetary discussions.

The majority of cuts will be directed at the 7% bracket which applies to more than a million people - and nobody earning over €70,000 will benefit more than people at the lower level.

Back to the Future

In a few days time it will be exactly three decades since the Back to the Future movies first hit screens.

It's also only a few short weeks before the date that Marty McFly traveled to the future in Back to the Future II, which is October 21st, 2015, although you can fool people into believing otherwise with a quick look on the internet

In anticipation of the event, Christopher Llloyd reprised his role as Doc Brown for a short teaser to announce a special Blu Ray and DVD box set of the movies.
