"Put your egos to one side"- Simon Harris calling for an end to Maternity Hospital dispute

Newly elected Minister for Health Simon Harris, is calling on those involved in the relocation dispute of the National Maternity Hospital, to 'put their egos to one side.'

Speaking on the local radio station East Coast FM, Harris said:

"My message very clearly to anyone involved in this row that I am reading about in the papers, put your egos to one side, get in a room and sort this out. This cannot be tied up in bureaucracy."

Andrea Bocelli joined in on the party at the KP Stadium

Iconic tenor Andrea Bocelli joined in with the Leicester City celebrations at the King Power Stadium before their game with Everton this evening.

Walking out arm in arm with Claudio Ranieri, Bocelli sang a rousing rendition of 'Nessun Dorma' prior to kick-off as the Foxes celebrated becoming Premier League champions for the first time.

Mary Ann Franco from Florida lost her vision in a car crash in 1995, and unexpectedly regained her sight after having an operation on her neck, which she hurt when she fell at home recently.

The Big Yoke has landed: Boeing 747 arrives at Sligo glamping site

A Boeing 767 affectionately known as "the big yoke" has come to its final landing place in a glamping site in Co Sligo.

The 80-ton decommissioned Russian aircraft, also known as the Enniscrone Eagle, was brought by barge from Shannon and landed last night on the beach at Enniscrone, Co Sligo.

Connacht dominate Pro12 end of year awards

Connacht coach Pat Lam has been awarded the Coach of the Year accolade at Sunday's Guinness Pro12 awards.

Lam's side have won a record 15 games this season for the province, while they also made it to a European quarter-final, losing out to Grenoble in the Challenge Cup. A number of the Westerners' players also picked up individual awards, as well as dominating the team of the season.
