Ryanair's Michael O'Leary advises that we should stop voting for lunatics

Michael O'Leary has advised the Irish public to stop voting for 'lunatics' in elections.

In an interview on RTE, the Ryanair CEO claimed that the Irish voters have a 'depressing habit' of voting for those who present the biggest threats.

Boaty McBoatface wins public poll to name £200 million research vessel

'Boaty McBoatface' has topped a public poll to find a name for a new polar research ship.

The £200 million (€256 million) ship is due to take to the seas and explore the Arctic and Antarctic from 2019, and an open contest was held to find a name for the boat. 

Ban on blood donations from men who have sex with men to be reviewed

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service Board's (IBTSB) ban on men who have had sex with men donating blood is set to be reviewed. 

The ban is up for discussion at a conference which will take place on April 21st and 22nd in the Royal College of Surgeons.   

Chris Evans and the Top Gear crew enjoyed their stay in Kerry

Chris Evans and Matt Le Blanc caused a stir in Kerry over the weekend as they crashed a GAA match and drove their conspicuous cars through the town. 

Evans and Le Blanc drove a pair of Rolls Royces thorugh Killarney and Dingle, and there was no shortage of attention as they headed to soak in the scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way

Kieran Behan the latest Irish athlete to qualify for the Olympics

The latest member of Team Ireland has qualified for this Summer's Olympic games.

Gymnast Kieran Behan secured his place in Rio De Janeiro following a successful qualifier at the HSBC Arena in Brazil on Saturday.
