Bruce Springsteen cancels North Carolina concert over transgender law
Bruce Springsteen has cancelled a concert in North Carolina over a controversial anti-LGBT law.
The new law, North Carolina’s Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act, states that everyone should use facilities matching their birth gender. Under the law, all public institutions must post signs designating that bathrooms and locker rooms are to be used only based on biological sex.
Springsteen was backed in the move by E Street Band member Stevie Van Zandt after North Carolina representative Mark Walker accused the rocker of using "bullying tactics"

After a heavy rainfall warning was issued by Met Eireann on Saturday, a number of areas in Cork have been hit with flooding.
A number of roads were flooded in Cork city and county this morning following heavy rainfall and high spring tides.

Georges Quay, Union Quay, Wandesford Quay, South Terrace, Morrison's Island, South Mall, Lapp's Quay, Lower Glanmire Road and the Lower end of Oliver Plunkett Street were all impassable due to the floods.

Boston Globe's fake front page paints appalling picture of Trump presidency
The Boston Globe has printed a fake front page featuring Donald Trump as president.
The front page headline screams “Deportations to Begin” below an address by President Trump, saying illegals would be deported "so fast your head will spin."
Wexford Fianna Fáil councillor found dead in his home
Councillor Fergie Kehoe was found in his home in Fisher's Row, Co Wexford on Saturday morning.
Mr Kehoe, a married father of one, was a businessman and restaurateur before becoming a councillor in 2007.
Tributes have been pouring in on social media for the popular councillor. Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Councillor Tony Dempsey described him as a 'generous, caring and committed public representative, whose tragic and untimely passing has deeply saddened his countless friends and colleagues from inside and outside the political arena.'
