Five people have been injured in the US following a shooting near the scene of a protest over the fatal shooting of a black man by police.
The incident took place around a block away from the Minneapolis Police Department’s 4th Precinct.
Local police say five people have been transferred to local medical centres. All the injuries are said to be non life threatening.
In a statement, Minneapolis Police added that "dozens of officers responded almost immediately attending to victims and secured the scene. Additional resources were called in and are actively investigating the shootings, interviewing a multitude of witnesses".
CBS reports that three suspects remain at large.
Protests have been taking place outside the police station for more than a week following the death of Jamar Clark. Mr Clark (24) died after being shot following a scuffle with police.
Witnesses have claimed Mr Clark was handcuffed when he was shot by an officer. Protesters have been calling for the release of video footage of the incident.
