A fire has been brought under control outside the Quinn packaging plant at Ballyconnell in Co. Cavan.

Gardai say a single-decker bus was set on fire at around 5:30am this morning and no-one was injured.

The bus was parked across the entrance to three businesses, which are believed to be owned by the Quinn Group.

The scene of the incident is sealed off pending a garda technical investigation.

It is the latest in a series of attacks on the former Quinn Group, now known as 'Aventas'.

Back in December a stolen oil truck was driven into it's headquarter buildings in Derrylin and set alight.
