Three candidates have been elected to the newly reformed Monaghan County Council.
Voters returned to the polls yesterday after the election was postponed last month due to the sudden death of a candidate.
Counting of votes got underway this morning and at the end of the first count Seamus Coyle of Fianna Fáil topped the poll.
