Fianna Fail is calling on the government to consider requesting the extradition of the former Chief Executive of Anglo Irish Bank from the US.
The party justice spokesperson Niall Collins says David Drumm has questions to answer for the Irish taxpayer.
The call comes following the release this week of a series of tapes - published on Independent.ie - which show that top bankers at Anglo deliberately misled the Central Bank on the cost of the bail out.
Fianna Fail also say they have no problem par-taking in a banking inquiry into the financial collapse of 2008.
Deputy Collins says David Drumm has a responsibility to explain his actions to the Irish taxpayer.
And he says the questioning of Mr. Drumm is central to any inquiry that may be held.
