Two men were rescued from the water at Lough Derg this afternoon after their kayaks capsized.

The father and son got into difficulty at Garrykennedy Marina near Nenagh in Co. Tipperary.

Their upturned kayaks were spotted by locals who raised the alarm.

Cillian Boyle from Garrykennedy was part of the rescue operation.
