The squeeze on consumer spending has been good for sales and profits at Domino’s Pizza.

UK like-for-like sales rose 5-point-7 per cent for the first half of 2012, with more people choosing to order in rather than heading out for dinner.

Group profit before tax in the UK, Germany and Ireland increased by 13 per cent to 21-point-5 million.
