Protests by farmers are continuing outside meat factories across Ireland calling on processors to increase the rates they are paying for beef.
The 48 hour demonstrations began at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and will continue until 3pm today.
Last night, the Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney said he hopes Wednesday's beef forum will bring the tensions to a close.
Meanwhile, the Taoiseach is encouraging farmers and beef processors to find a solution to end the row over beef prices.
Enda Kenny told Galway Bay Fm, that Wednesday's beef forum meeting, will give both sides an opportunity to discuss the issues.
