Relatives of an Irishman beaten to death in London are to travel to the city today.

They are expected to formally identify the body of Philip Steels (51), who was originally from Sligo.

The father of three died after he was attacked in the early hours of last Thursday September 4th.

His family has paid tribute to him, and the efforts he made to help the city's poor and giving them food.

A man (26) appeared in court yesterday charged with his murder.
