A bank account has been set up to help the families affected by a fire at a housing estate in Newbridge, Co Kildare yesterday.
Six houses at Millfield Manor were extensively damaged when a blaze engulfed a row of houses over the course of 20 minutes.
No-one was injured in the blaze.
The local community has rallied behind those affected with clothes being donated at Royston Sports Club in the town.
A man (39) is being questioned by gardaí in Newbridge in connection with the fire.
Damien McGrath and his partner live in one of the houses, with their son and daughter.
He says their son is very upset that they have lost everything.

Cash donations will also be accepted in the Parish Office in Newbridge.
Celina Barrett, Chief Fire Officer for Kildare, spoke to Lunchtime today about the incident. She said: "In this jurisdiction, the fire would be investigated by An Garda Síochana."
"It's extensive destruction. The properties are completely destroyed."
When asked if other residents of the estate needed to worry, she commented: "I think we do need to await and see what were the circumstances of this fire and then look forward and see if that has implications anywhere else."
