A woman was mauled to death and another was seriously injured when they were attacked by Siberian tigers at a wildlife park in Beijing, according to a Chinese government-run newspaper. 

The Legal Evening News said the deceased was killed in Beijing Badaling Wildlife World yesterday after stepping out of their car. 

CCTV footage of the incident shows the tiger leaping at the woman from behind, grabbing her and pulling her away from the vehicle.

A two-day-old baby is among the dead after four makeshift hospitals were hit by air raids in Syria this weekend.

The strikes on the battered city of Aleppo have struck over the last 24 hours and also hit a local blood bank, according to doctors.

The Independent Doctors' Association said a children's hospital, the last specialised pediatrics centre in the city, was struck twice in less than 12 hours, and then again in the middle of the night.

The body of a man, believed to be in his 50s, was found in the Macgillycuddy's Reeks on Saturday. 

His body was removed to Tralee General Hospital, where a postmortem examination is due to be carried out.

Gardai are investigating, however, the cause and circumstances surrounding the death has not yet been confirmed.

A Syrian refugee wielding a machete has killed a woman and injured two other people in the southern German city of Reutlingen, police say.

The 21-year-old man has been arrested and was apparently acting alone, and that there is no evidence pointing to the incident being a terrorist attack

The motive behind the attack is not yet known.

The Australian Olympic team have decided to postpone moving into the Olympic Village, on account of problems regarding the sanitation and safety standards of the accommodation.

Problems including “blocked toilets, leaking pipes and exposed wiring have prompted the team to abstain from moving in to the Village.

 Kitty Chiller, the head of the country's delegation, says that she brought her concerns to the International Olympic Committee on a daily basis, and was 'pushing hard for a solution.'
