Second boy to face trial over Ana Kriegel murder
A 14-year-old boy will face trial for the murder of Kildare schoolgirl Ana Kriegel in the coming months.
The teenager's body was found in a derelict building in Dublin last May - days after she had been reported missing.
Two young boys were later charged with her murder, but neither can be named as they were both 13-years-old when Ana was killed.
UCD Students' Union uncovers 'major data breach' in Student Leap Cards
The Students' Union at University College Dublin (UCD) has suspended selling Student Leap Cards, after they say they uncovered that personal information was at risk.
The information used in the student version of the card is different to regular cards.
The union claims the information it takes is in breach of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Calls for Dublin city councillors to reject sale of final Magdalene Laundry site
Dublin City Council is to vote next Monday on the potential sale of the last Magdalene Laundry in State ownership.
It is considering a sale of the two-acre site on Sean McDermott Street to a Japanese hotel chain.
The reported sale price is €14m.
Complaint over nightclub advert for '19th Hole' upheld
A complaint made against an advert for a Donegal nightclub has been upheld.
The advertisement featured a close-up rear-view of a woman wearing shorts, a short top and a golf glove on one hand.
Holding a golf club behind her back, text underneath stated: "Libertys Your 19th Hole For The Summer."
Ireland's first driverless public transport vehicle to make Dublin debut
The first driverless shuttle in Ireland will make its debut appearance next month.
The Easymile 'EZ10' will be running in the Dublin Docklands on September 21st and 22nd, as part of a 'Smart Docklands' project.
The Easymile vehicle is a driverless, electric shuttle bus which can carry up to 15 people.
