US Senator John McCain to 'discontinue treatment' for aggressive brain cancer
The US Senator and former presidential candidate John McCain will no longer receive treatment for brain cancer, his family has announced.
The 81-year-old has been receiving treatment for an aggressive brain tumour for more than a year.
Despite initially returning to the Senate following surgery, he has remained in his home state of Arizona for treatment since last December.

John Gilligan has been arrested in Northern Ireland and charged with money laundering offences.
The 66-year-old from Dublin was detained at Belfast International Airport while attempting to board a flight to Spain.
Border patrol officers recovered €23,000 at the scene, according to the UK's National Crime Agency.

Leo Varadkar has pledged to push Pope Francis for ‘full disclosure’ on clerical abuse when he meets him in Dublin tomorrow.

A survivor of clerical abuse says "every rotten apple" should be gotten rid of from the Catholic church.
Marie Collins was speaking at The World Meeting of Families in Dublin's RDS.
The gathering heard there is denial within the Catholic church about the scale of clerical sex abuse.
Ahead of the arrival of Pope Francis on Saturday, there are calls for the Vatican to come up with a plan to address the issue.
UN humanitarian chief condemns Yemen attacks after airstrike kills 22 children
The UN has condemned an airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen that killed at least 22 children and four women.
They were killed in a strike in the Al Durayhimi district in Hudaydah city.
According to the UN, those killed are said to have been fleeing fighting in the area.
A separate airstrike in the area on Thursday is said to have left four children dead.
