WATCH: Renewed effort to trace mother of baby found on Dublin roadside

The baby girl is thought to have been no more than three days old

Gardaí are renewing their effort to trace the mother of a baby found on a Dublin roadside last Friday.

The baby girl is thought to have been between 24 to 36 hours old when she was found on the Steelstown Road, near Rathcoole close to the N7.

She was found wrapped in a plastic bag when a motorist stopped at the scene by chance.

RTE airs Newstalk's 'Move the Dial' ad following one-year refusal

RTE has broadcast a Newstalk television ad that it had refused to air for over one year.

RTE deemed that the 'Move the Dial' slogan within the ad was a “call to action”, and thus against the station’s guidelines. The ad was subsequently barred from being aired on the station.

Gardaí say it would be 'inappropriate' to comment on reports that staff at the Áras Attracta care home are to face criminal charges.

A number of staff at the Co Mayo home for people with intellectual disabilities were suspended following a Prime Time documentary last year.

Gardaí subsequently studied almost 200 hours of undercover footage from the home, and launched an investigation into allegations of abuse.

The Finance Minister Michael Noonan says he is concerned about the liquidity situation in Greece.

Mr Noonan is in Brussels to discuss a bailout deal for Greece at a two-day meeting of Eurozone finance ministers.
