An arrest warrant remains in place for Peter Darragh Quinn, the nephew of bankrupt businessman Sean Quinn, after he failed to turn up in court last Friday.

Gardaí have visited all of his known addresses in the Republic, but they will need a European Arrest Warrant if they are to travel to his home in Fermanagh.

Peter Quinn and his cousin Sean Quinn Junior were both sentenced to three months in jail for contempt of court.

33-year-old Sean Quinn Junior is serving his sentence in the low-security Training Unit of Mountjoy Prison.

His father, Sean Quinn Senior, has been given time to comply with court orders aimed at returning millions of euros worth of assets to the control of the former Anglo Irish Bank.
