There was plenty of praise for the performance of Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds, who also played a number of Oasis covers on the night including 'Champagne Supernova' and 'Wonderwall.'

LCD Soundsystem were one of the most anticipated performers of the night, and there was even a Father Ted reference dropped into their set for those who were listening closely.

Hozier made a surprise guest appearance on Saturday also, as he took to the stage with the Trinity Orchestra to perform covers of classic David Bowie songs.

Bananarama provided a nostalgic '80s throwback for the crowd, who seemed to be well up for the party.

At the Newstalk Lounge in the Mindfield area, a debate on repealing the eighth amendment captured the attention of the audience, and drew plenty of comment on social media as it was streamed live on Facebook for those who couldn't make it to the festival.
