A woman in her seventies is recovering today after getting stuck in a bog hole on Carrauntohill - Ireland's highest mountain.
The experienced walker got into difficulty yesterday evening as she tried to make her way down the Co Kerry mountain.
The alarm was raised when she did not return back to her car and Kerry Mountain Rescue launched an operation.

Alan Wallace, of Kerry Mountain Rescue, says the woman became stuck in soft boggy ground after coming down off the ridge. By the time she managed to free herself, it had become dark and she needed help to get to safety.
