An elderly man has died in a car crash in Dublin.
The man in his 70s was injured when the car he was driving hit a service gate at the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Clondalkin at around a quarter to four this evening.
He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
