Two photographs taken by a Dublin man have won an international urban photography competition.

Ross Magrath, an electrical engineer from Dublin living in the UK, was the winner in two categories of the CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year competition. The theme was Cities at Work and photographers were asked to capture the essence and reality of the working life of a city.

Magrath’s 'Alley Check', which depicts a restaurant worker sitting on a doorstep won in the 6am category while his photograph ‘Men of Business’ won top prize in the 6pm group.
