This week’s €49.5m Euromillions jackpot was won by a player in Dublin.

The National Lottery said the winner bought a €2.50 Normal Play ticket ahead of Tuesday night’s draw.

The winner has now contacted Lotto HQ and is being guided through the process for claiming their prize.

“We were absolutely delighted to hear from Ireland’s latest EuroMillions jackpot winner who now becomes the 16th EuroMillions jackpot winner in Ireland since the game was introduced in 2004,” said a National Lottery spokesperson.

“We are now making arrangements for the winner or winners to make their claim in the coming weeks.”
