The Dublin Fire Brigade processed more than 700 calls over Halloween night.
They attended 193 bonfires, and answered one 999 call every 40 seconds.
The 700 calls were received between 4pm yesterday and 8am this morning.
They live-tweeted their work yesterday to show the stresses firefighters are put under at this time of year.
One ambulance was hit with a bottle on a call-out in Balbriggan. The crew members were not injured in the incident, but the vehicle was put off the road for the night.
A reserve ambulance was put on the road and the original will be repaired.
Firefighters also attended dozens of alcohol and assault cases.
