Not even Storm Barney could keep Dublin's largest Christmas tree from going up today. The 50-foot tree arrived in Custom House Quarter and will form the centrepiece of I BELIEVE™, Ireland’s first Winter Festival.
The inaugural tree lighting ceremony will take place next Thursday, 26 November and the festival which features food, drink craft and Santa (formerly of Clery's) and will run until December 23.

Festival organisers hope the tree will rival New York's famous Rockefeller tree, and become a hallmark of the city's festive events.
